Warwick Castle Hotel is located in the grounds of Warwick Castle and is heavily geared towards family stays.

Warwick Castle is a huge well-preserved castle in Warwickshire, well worth a day trip and great for kids. In the castle grounds they have plenty of accommodation including the brand new Warwick Castle Hotel.

The hotel is the newest accommodation at Warwick Castle, joining the existing Knights Village and Woodland Lodges.

The Hotel

A brand new hotel with a medieval feel, Warwick Castle Hotel has 60 rooms to choose from. The hotel is strongly themed, from the massive knight on horseback in the lobby to the moving pictures of Tudor nobles on the walls and the coat of arms hanging above the bed in the rooms. It’s very well done and the kids will really enjoy these fun touches.

Included in your stay is the evening entertainment, onsite parking and breakfast buffet.

The Rooms

The rooms are modern, spacious and really well set up for families. We stayed in a standard room and it included a king-size bed plus a separate area with bunk beds which could sleep up to 3 children. The bathroom was modern and bright.

Everything about this hotel room was comfortable and new.

Dining

Dinner is held in the medieval dining hall, a short walk across the bridge from the hotel. There’s a hearty feast waiting for you in the form of a bountiful buffet. Given that most people who stay here are families, this buffet is geared towards the kids with plenty on offer that they will enjoy including pasta, sausages, baked beans and jelly. There’s also plenty for the adults to enjoy on the buffet with roast meats and all the trimmings as well as pasta, soup and salad.

We stayed 2 nights in Warwick Castle and were happy to do the buffet for one night, but you may want to venture out into nearby Warwick for something a little different on your second night.

Breakfast is also served in the medieval dining hall where you’ll find another sumptuous buffet awaiting you, complimentary for hotel guests.

Entertainment

While you’re enjoying your medieval dinner buffet the evening entertainment begins. This is in the form of two knights in full armor teaching the kids how to use a sword accompanied by a fair number of jokes to keep the adults entertained and finishing with a sword fight between the two of them.

It’s cheesy, there’s no doubt about that, but you’ll be swept along in the fun of it and the sword fighting lesson keeps the kids well entertained.

Access To Warwick Castle

Warwick Castle Hotel is a ten minute walk from the castle itself on a flat, paved pathway. You can leave your car in the hotel car park and spend the day enjoying the castle.

If you select your castle tickets when booking your hotel stay you’ll get discounted tickets. For July 2025, online tickets for Warwick Castle are £26. With a hotel booking they are £20.

If you’d prefer just to buy separate Warwick Castle tickets, you’ll find discounted tickets here.

Final Thoughts

Warwick Castle Hotel is firmly geared towards families.

Warwick Castle does an excellent job of bringing history to life and Warwick Castle Hotel is no different. The hotel is modern and comfortable while catering to the kids with fun theming, interactive entertainment and tasty food.

We stayed in Warwick Castle Hotel as part of a month-long road trip around England. Read our Warwickshire trip report here.

Booking Your Accommodation At Warwick Castle Hotel

You can book your stay and tickets on the Warwick Castle website.

For discounted room prices without the castle tickets included, have a look at Booking.com or Expedia for the best room prices.

Other Accommodation

Warwick Castle also has other onsite accommodation including the Knights Village Glamping and the Medieval Village Lodges. If you really want to push the boat out, you can opt for a room in the castle itself. The Caesar’s Tower Suites are very pricey but you’ll be staying right in the castle’s 14th century tower.

If you’d prefer to stay elsewhere and visit Warwick Castle for the day – have a look at nearby Warwick or Leamington Spa.
