About Me

I Love To Travel.

Hi! I’m Sam. I love to travel. And I like to do it in comfort and with my family. Keep scrolling to read my story and my favourite places.

About

My Story

I am originally from the UK but spent my 20s doing working holiday visas overseas in New Zealand, Melbourne and Canada. In 2015 I moved permanently to Brisbane, Australia where I have lived ever since with my husband and two children.

Travelling with kids

Travel Looks A Little Different These Days.

I have two young kids – 8 and 5 at the time of writing. Since having the family the adventurous travel has got less and the comfortable travel has taken over. It’s now about spending quality time together as a family and showing my children some amazing places that I love, and perhaps exploring a few new ones together.

If you’re not sure whether travelling with your children is right for you – I’ve written a post here about why you should definitely do it!

We both work full time and have busy lives. We travel when we can. We are strategic with public holidays and flight times so we can maximise our time away.

My Favourite Places

Here Are Some Of My Favourite Places.

The American West

A road trip through the American West is my idea of perfect. I love nothing more than hiking through the national parks and dirving the big open road.

Exploring My Home Country

I also now really love to go back to the UK and explore my home country as a tourist. We recently did an epic month-long trip to England which you can follow along here.

A Few Adventures

I have also been on some real adventures. My favourite culture shock places have been Eygpt and India.

A Bit Of Luxury

I have been to some once-in-a-lifetime places too. Staying in an overwater bungalow in Tahiti is definitely up there.

When I’m Not Travelling.

When I’m not travelling I’m a home body. I like baking, gardening, jigsaw puzzles, and watching musical theatre.

But planning a holiday is really my idea of fun! Checking the map, reading the guide books and other blogs, researching where I’d like to go and stay. I sometimes think this part of a holiday is even better than the trip itself!
