The Coolum Social is a modern cafe and brunch spot in the Sunshine Coast suburb of Coolum.

Just across the road from the beach, you’ll find this light and airy cafe serving coffee, breakfast and lunch.

The Setting

Coolum is a beachside suburb at the northern end of the Sunshine Coast. With beautiful beaches and a laid-back vibe, it’s the perfect place to spend the day.

Located on a retail precinct a few blocks from the beach, The Coolum Social is a fantastic spot for coffee, breakfast or lunch.

The Venue

The decor is modern, fresh, and full of light. There are plenty of tables on the undercover outdoor area, and the main counter features a striking bar.

The Coolum Social is dog-friendly, and they even have puppacinos on the menu!

The Food

The food matches the decor – beautiful and modern.

The menu features all-day eats with all your favourites such as Eggs Benedict, Avocado on Toast and burgers. You’ll also find some more unexpected options, such as the Philly Cheesesteak, fish tacos and the Rainbow Bowl – which is what I tried.

The Rainbow Bowl includes halloumi fries, beetroot labneh, roasted cauliflower and soy tempeh. I had never tried soy tempeh before, so this was a novelty for me – and it was absolutely delicious. In fact, it was the highlight of the dish.

Everything is beautifully presented and visually appealing, often decorated with edible flowers – my Rainbow Bowl was certainly colourful!

There are plenty of vegan and vegetarian options on the menu, and kids are well-catered for with their own menu of breakfasts, burgers and pancakes.

The Drinks

Coffee is a specialty here, with different blends on offer, as well as iced coffee. For non-coffee drinkers, there’s an extensive latte menu including matcha, beetroot, turmeric and chai lattes.

If you’d prefer something cold and refreshing, try a frappe, smoothie or fresh juice.

Cocktails, wine and beer are also available.

The Coolum Social is a trendy spot with a relaxed coastal vibe that’s welcoming to all.

The food is nourishing, healthy, colourful and delicious.

Set in a laid-back beachside suburb with beautiful decor and food to match, it’s a lovely place to enjoy a relaxed, modern brunch.
