Everton Park Hotel is a massive hotel, pub and events venue in the Brisbane suburb of Everton Park.

This newly renovated pub has one of the best outdoor playgrounds we’ve seen in Brisbane.

The Venue

Everton Park Hotel is a huge venue with multiple indoor and outdoor restaurant sections. The decor is fresh and modern and the dining areas are breezy and spacious – it’s a lovely place to have lunch. Onsite you’ll also find the usual gaming rooms, pokies, function rooms and 12 hotel rooms.

Right by the playground is the main outdoor deck with plenty of tables. These are undercover and offer great visibility over the playground – it’s been very well designed.

The Food

There’s a solid selection on the food menu at Everton Park Hotel, with all the usual pub classics plus some more interesting dishes like cauliflower curry and chicken roulade.

The kids’ menu is also extensive – not just chicken nuggets and pasta, but jacket potatoes, dagwood dogs and teriyaki chicken rice bowls.

The beer selection on tap is a little limited, but there are plenty of lagers to quench your thirst.

Inside the restaurant is a soft serve station where you can get thickshakes and ice creams. For excellent value, you can grab a soft serve with sauce and three toppings for $5.

The Playground

The playground is where this pub really comes into its own.

The outdoor play area takes up a huge space. The main play equipment includes slides of all sizes, cage tunnels, rope ladders and bridges, with separate smaller areas for toddlers. The equipment is all new, with plenty to keep the kids entertained.

A very unique feature is the carousel, which runs on weekends or is available for private hire. There’s also a small indoor room with video games, although it wasn’t open during our visit.

There are shade sails over the playground but they only provide partial coverage, so the playground does get hot and kids will need to be sun safe.

Everton Park Hotel has the best outdoor playground we’ve seen in any pub in Brisbane. For a pub, this is a next level playground.

Everton Park Hotel – Final Thoughts

Everton Park Hotel might be the best-designed pub with a playground we’ve visited. The outdoor playground is excellent – the best we’ve seen in Brisbane so far – and the kids’ menu is far more interesting than you usually find. This pub has been designed with families in mind, and is a perfect spot for a relaxed lunch, larger family gathering or birthday party.
